Your data, explained.

LunaLink (“LunaLink”, “we”, “us”) is a cross-server party-finder bot for Discord, operated together with the website at lunalink.uk. This policy covers both the bot and the website.

We only collect what we need to run the service:

• Discord identifiers — your Discord user ID, username, and display name.
• Server information — the IDs, names, icons, and member counts of servers the bot is in, including partnered servers shown on the website.
• Activity data — party listings you create (game, mode, party size, expiry), parties you join, and a history of your past parties and usage counts.
• Messages — when you use the DM relay, the content of messages you send to the bot is processed and forwarded to the other members of your party. Conversations you have with our support/admin team through the bot are stored so we can respond and follow up.
• Preferences & status — voting reminders you opt into, premium status (linked via Patreon), and any reports filed by or about you for moderation.

We do not collect your payment card details (these are handled entirely by Patreon), and the bot does not read the messages in your server’s channels beyond the slash commands you explicitly run with it.

We use the information above to:

• Operate the party finder — create listings, match players, and form parties.
• Power the DM relay so party members can talk without sharing a server.
• Provide and manage premium entitlements linked to Patreon.
• Keep the service safe — handle reports, bans, and abuse prevention.
• Send the voting reminders you opt into.
• Produce aggregate, non-identifying statistics (for example on stats.lunalink.uk).

The DM relay is a core feature: messages you send to LunaLink in DMs are forwarded to your active party. By using it you understand that your messages are shared with the other members of that party. Support conversations with our team are retained so we can assist you. Do not send sensitive personal information (passwords, financial details, government IDs) through the bot.

LunaLink relies on a few third parties. Your use of LunaLink is also subject to their policies:

• Discord — the platform the bot runs on.
• IGDB / Twitch — powers game search. We send your search query; we do not send your personal data.
• top.gg — when you vote, top.gg notifies us with your Discord ID so we can thank you and send reminders.
• Patreon — used to link and verify premium status.
• Our hosting & database provider — your data is stored in our MongoDB database on our server infrastructure.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

Party listings expire automatically and are removed. Party history, preferences, and support conversations are kept only as long as needed to provide the service, or until you ask us to delete them. Moderation records (such as bans) may be kept as long as necessary to keep the service safe.

You can:

• Stop most data collection at any time by removing the bot or not using its commands.
• Turn off voting reminders using the bot’s reminder controls.
• Request a copy of, or deletion of, the personal data we hold about you by contacting us (see below). We will action reasonable requests.

LunaLink is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age of digital consent in your country. You must meet Discord’s own minimum age requirement to use the service. If we learn we have collected data from someone under that age, we will delete it.

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including restricted server access and a database that is not publicly exposed. No method of storage or transmission is ever 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of LunaLink after a change means you accept the updated policy.
